NEW: Micro-Peel – this is a microneedling treatment with a chemical peel on top. $325 (see our Dermapen Microneedling page)
Chemical peels involve a process of applying a chemical solution to the skin which, after a day or so, begins to peel/slough off. This process can be used on the face, neck, chest, hands and even for the entire body. After the skin loosens and falls away, new skin is allowed to appear from underneath. The removal of dead skin cells stimulates the production of new skin cells. You will see a dramatic difference in skin color, texture and tone. The skin feels softer, smoother and has a very healthy glow to it.
The peel creates an even and controlled shedding of damaged skin cells. For people at high risk of skin cancer, a light chemical peel twice a year is a great way to keep skin cancer at bay. They are also very helpful for individuals with skin blemishes, wrinkles, acne scars and uneven skin pigmentation. Chemical peels can be used on ALL skin types and conditions!
*You may require 2-4 peels to get your face , neck, chest, etc.. right where it needs to be (ie where you are happy!), but after that, just 1-2 per year is all that is required to look and feel terrific! You should very much consider our peels for any skin conditions you are experiencing! They don’t disappoint!
Some are medical grade and some are a little lighter, but all are very effective. Your skin will peel or slough only what it really needs to pull out. *You can experience peeling for only 2-7 days. Additionally, we give you a take-home aftercare kit which really accommodates any sloughing needs your skin may need. A $25 kit that is complimentary with every peel.
Chemical Peels / Facial Peels / Body Peels contain powerful and very effective alpha and beta hydroxy acids (AHA / BHA) such as glycolic, salicylic, lactic and malic as well as phenol, hydroquinone, resorcinol, trichloroacetic acid (TCA), retinol – these are used to bring about exceptional results as anti aging treatments, acne treat, ments, sun damage treatments, pigmentation treatments etc.. Chemical Peels are often referred to as facial peels.
*We have seen amazing results with 2-4 peels for lifting pigmentation and melasma. These are darkening patches of skin that only continue to darken and increase over time. We are lifting the pigmentation off your face in the form of peeling (sloughing). From there, it’s ultra important for you to use SPF 30+ every day to protect your results and keep it from coming back. Combinations of glycolic, phenol, retinol, resorcinol, hydroquinone, salicylic and lactic are bringing real results.
Yes, fine lines and wrinkles can be lifted and diminished significantly. Depending on the depth of your wrinkling is dependent on the number of peels necessary. We always like to start with a series of 2 and go from there. Sometimes it only requires 3; sometimes a few more, but yes we can get there. And again after peeling, SPF becomes your friend and is needed to protect your results. Combinations of glycolic, retinol, salicylic, enzymes, plant stem cells, peptides are bringing real results.
Yes, we can diminish acne. Acne is in need of getting rid of the bacteria deep within the lower layers of your skin and therefore requires chemical peels that can reach the lower depths. *We recommend a series of 3 to start and usually will add in 20 minutes of pure oxygen with the first peel in your series. Oxygen opens your pores entirely and allows the peel to drop deeper. Oxygen will get rid of the congestion in your skin that is keeping your pores from breathing properly. Each peel in your series will be incrementally increased in strength and combinations to bring the clearing of your skin you are anticipating. Combinations of many things, but the main acids used are salicylic and glycolic (glycolic pulls all of the other hydroxys deeper; bringing better results.)
You guessed it we will customize your peel with combinations of all the ingredients we use for pigmentation lifting and acne. Additionally may recommend the first in your series to include 20 minutes of micro dermabrasion to resurface your top layer as well. Yes, again *we will recommend starting with a series of 3 peels.
Do you have persistent redness or even been diagnosed with rosacea? Believe it or not, the right chemical peels can definitely help with that. We use a combination of ingredients to help diminish your redness dependent on if you are more sensitive or less sensitive. Typically however enzymes along with Vit C and glycolic acids are introduced. From there the proper serums are used to build the strength of your skin back up. Lots of antioxidants, stem cells, peptides are fed deep into the layers of your skin to reduce redness and bring real results. And again, *we like to start with a 3 series and go from there.

Obagi Blue Peel
Obagi Blue Peel is a chemical peel like no other. As of this writing, it has been around for nearly two decades and is a tried and true treatment for stretchable wrinkles and stretch marks, epidermal and dermal pigmentation (visible pigment that lies on the top of the skin as well as pigment that is non-visible at this current time, but pigment that will eventually reach the surface of your skin), sun damage, large pores, skin laxity (lacking tightness) and even actinic keratosis (severe sun damage typically noticeable in a patch that has turned dry and scaly).
This peel does require pre-treating of the skin prior to the peel with the Obagi line of products. This is known as the NuDerm kit and contains hydroquinone as well as tretinoin (pure retinol) to condition the skin and prepare it for the peel. Typically, this will be a 6-8 week process with your peel occurring 3-4 days after last use of the products.
This peel is meant for all skin types so skin color does not affect the selection of the client. The only difference between skin types is that lighter skin types will be required to pre-treat the skin for 6 weeks while darker skin types will require 8 weeks.
What is the difference between lighter chemical peels vs Obagi. Obagi is considered a medium to deep depth of peel or TCA (trichloroacetic acid) and will drop lower into the epidermis (all 5 layers) as well as the top layer of your dermis (where collagen resides). A chemical peel known as a “light peel” will reach the top 1-3 layers of your epidermis. Having the ability to drop lower means we can achieve greater results for overall skin rejuvenation.
Obagi Blue Peel can be used for face, neck, chest, hands, shoulders.
Healing Times can and will vary and we suggest downtime of approximately 4-7 days.
Post Treatment Protocols:
Shower and bath normally
Sleep on your back
Avoid excessive facial expressions
Never pick your skin or the peeling that will occur
Wash face twice daily with NuDerm Gentle Cleanser
Apply hydrators without fragrance 4x per day including products such as Aquaphor and Bacitracin to allow for skin healing
Cost of the Obagi Peel: $400 (we recommend only 1-2 of these peels in any given year)
If you have any questions and/or are interested in this peel, please feel free to reach out to us as we are happy to assist you.
